Cuba: Food Sovereignty Law in force

The Food Sovereignty and Food and Nutritional Security Law (Ley SSAN in Spanish), approved in an extraordinary session of the National Assembly of People’s Power of Cuba last May, was published today in the Ordinary Gazette as Law 148/2022.

Decree 67/2022 was also issued, which presents the Regulations with the methodological guide and its implementation schedule, Yanisbel Sánchez Rodríguez, vice-president of the Agrifood Commission of the highest body of the Cuban State, said at a press conference.

El Salvador: Extended comment period on RTS 67.05.02:22

The Government of El Salvador informs that it notified on 30 May 2022, under the symbol G/SPS/N/SLV/17/Add.1, the draft Salvadoran Technical Regulation “RTS 67.05.02:22 MEAT. PROCESSED MEAT PRODUCTS”, with the objective of establishing the specifications and safety and quality characteristics that raw, cured and cooked meat products (including sausages), including poultry and game, intended for human consumption, must comply with.
