Argentina: Kombucha beverage included in the Argentine Food Code

Article 1084 bis is hereby incorporated into the Argentine Food Code (AAC) and shall be worded as follows: “Article 1084 bis: Kombucha is understood as the non-alcoholic and carbonated fermented beverage, obtained through aerobic respiration and anaerobic fermentation of a must composed of Camellia sinensis L. infusion and sugars.

The beverage may be added with fruit juices or pulps, vegetable extracts, spices and/or honey, permitted in this Code.
