The Colombian Agricultural Institute (ICA in Spanish) and the National Institute of Food and Drug Surveillance (INVIMA in Spanish) agreed to extend the date for registration, renewal or modification of data of processing factories interested in exporting food of animal origin to Colombia, until next July 31, 2025.
The deadline is extended with the purpose of ensuring an organized transition in the framework of the implementation process of the provisions of Chapter V of Decree 2478 of 2018, related to the qualification of factories interested in exporting to Colombia foods of higher risk in public health of animal origin.
This process will be led by the ICA through the Health Information System for Import and Export of Agricultural and Livestock Products – SISPAP, and subsequently the Invima will be the entity in charge of attending the processes with international companies and will communicate in the agreed times, the transfer of these factories to the health authorities of each country.
