The National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA in Portuguese) has published the Normative Instruction – IN No. 159, dated July 1, 2022, which establishes the lists of plant parts authorized for the preparation of teas and for use as spices.
Annex I of Normative Instruction – IN No. 159, of 2022, enters into force with the addition of the scientific names of the plant species listed in Annex II of this Normative Instruction.
This Normative Instruction comes into force on March 4, 2024.
