The National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) has opened a specific consultation on the Regulatory Outcomes Assessment Plan (ARR) for measures restricting the use of industrial trans fats in food.
The objective is to gather technical input from researchers, public bodies, laboratories, and representatives of the productive sector to improve evaluation planning. The consultation is part of the preparatory phase of the Evaluation Review process and aims to ensure that the evaluation questions, indicators, and data sources are adequate for measuring the effects of Collegiate Board Resolution 632/2022 (RDC), a regulation that restricted the use of industrially produced trans fats in the country’s food supply.
