Peru – Ministry of Health announces Draft Supreme Decree approving the Regulations of Law N°  31881, the law that promotes information on gluten-free foods

Through Ministerial Resolution N° 314-2024, the Ministry of Health announces the Draft Supreme Decree approving the Regulations of Law N° 31881, a law that promotes information on gluten-free foods.
The purpose of this Regulation is to provide information on gluten-free foods, so that consumers, especially those who suffer from celiac disease, intolerance or allergy to gluten, make informed consumption decisions given their condition to maintain a gluten-free diet.
The Regulation will apply to manufacturers and importers of industrially processed gluten-free foods that declare such condition on the label or in advertising, for marketing purposes.
